Per Diem

To be eligible for a per diem allowance, all three of the following criteria must be met:

  1. The business trip must include at least one overnight stay.
  2. The work must be carried out more than 50 kilometers from both your regular workplace and your place of residence.
  3. The business trip must be approved by the employer.

Amounts and regulations

Per diem allowances are paid in accordance with the regulations set by the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). On their website, you can find information about current allowance rates, meal deductions, and other applicable rules.
