Computer Glasses (Display Screen Glasses)

A pair of glasses for computer work is tailored to the specific working distances that often occur when a person is positioned in front of a display screen. This may mean that the lenses are prescribed with a different strength than regular private glasses, or that a special lens design is used to provide better ergonomic conditions when working at a screen.

Employees who work at a display screen for more than one hour per day are entitled to an eye examination at the employer’s expense. If the employee has recently undergone an eye examination with a previous employer, a new examination should only be carried out if there are new or changed visual requirements in the current display screen work, or if the employee’s vision has changed since the last examination.

We have a framework agreement with Specsavers, and therefore we refer employees to Specsavers. As an employee, you do not pay anything during your visit to Specsavers unless you choose more expensive frames or additional options that are not included in the agreement—in those cases, you pay the difference, but with a 50% discount, in store. Currently, any frame up to a value of SEK 795 is included.

Procedure:

  1. Notify your consultant manager if you wish to have an eye examination.

  2. The consultant manager will create and assign a requisition form (digitally) via the Specsavers Corporate Portal.

  3. You will receive an email with clear instructions before your visit, which you then book yourself.
